description:
• the desktop systems specialist is responsible for providing operational desktop support to the aos sales and service department, as well as various supporting organizations.
• the ideal candidate for this position will have a strong desktop support background, including a high level of familiarity with apple hardware repair, microsoft office, sap, apple business applications, remote desktop, creating and maintaining system images, and filemaker pro, etc. familiarity with industry trends & objectives would be extremely useful.
• the candidate must possess excellent communication skills, and be comfortable presenting to all levels of executives. critical and creative thinking are essential
• must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work varied hours and days
responsibilities include:
• track inventory of all desktop equipment
• place purchase order for new equipment as needed
• perform hardware repairs on apple own use equipment (desktops, portables, and mobile devices)
• install, launch, and recovery support for mac os and bundled applications
• evaluate/implement solutions for business support. anticipates potential problems, and provide possible solutions for management approval
• maintain a number of application and file-sharing servers
• able to lift 50 pounds routinely
• the qualified candidate must be willing to work non-standard work hours and rotate on pager duty
